YOU ARE INEXCUSABLE

“THEREFORE, YOU ARE INEXCUSABLE, O man, whoever you are who judge, FOR IN WHATEVER YOU JUDGE ANOTHER YOU CONDEMN YOURSELF; FOR YOU WHO JUDGE PRACTICE THE
SAME THINGS.”
Romans 2:1 (NKJV)

Whoever is preaching or teaching the gospel or the Bible should imbibe or adopt this principle; whatever evil that he or she is also doing or practicing they should not preach against it.

Whatever you are speaking against, or condemning other people for, in your messages, should not be found practiced or done by you. Preaching against whatever you are doing secretly is hypocrisy, and God detests such a thing:
2 BUT WE KNOW THAT THE JUDGMENT OF GOD IS ACCORDING TO TRUTH AGAINST THOSE WHO PRACTICE SUCH THINGS. 3 AND DO YOU THINK THIS, O MAN, YOU WHO JUDGE THOSE PRACTISING SUCH THINGS, AND DOING THE SAME, THAT YOU WILL ESCAPE THE JUDGMENT OF GOD?" (Romans 2:2,3 NKJV)

READ: Romans 2:21-24

This is what Jesus in His earthly Ministry usually speaks against concerning the Pharisees and the Sadducees (Matthew 23:13-28).

They wanted to present themselves as righteous people, but their private life is dirty (Luke 12:1). What they condemn or tell other not to do, they are guilty of the same acts or sins—they were hypocritical (Matthew 23:13-28).

Ministry leadership is not about having a title or a position or an appellation you are called by, but a way or an act of
influencing others positively for God.
People who are following a leader tend to follow whatever the leader does, thus, if bad deeds are found in a leader's life, a larger percentage of his followers will follow suit.

Consequently, if you are telling others not to practice a particular thing, you also should not engage in it or practice it.
A leader, or shepherd of the sheep, leads from the front, and that is by example—the followers or the sheep would see him practising or doing whatever he is telling them to do: "NOR AS BEING LORDS OVER THOSE ENTRUSTED TO YOU BUT BEING EXAMPLES TO THE FLOCK" (1 Peter 5:3 NKJV).

Peace.
