When those closest to you, are simply not there for you.

in #church7 years ago

You know, the people that hurt us the most are often those we are closest to and love the most. People we had utmost faith and trust in. The people we were convinced that at our eleventh hour, our hour of need; the time that we felt at our lowest, they would be there to pick us up, to hold us up, to utter words of encouragement and to reinforce our faith.

We look up for help, a hand reaching out to hold ours, during times of darkness, but during the lowest times, we look around and no-one we recognize is there. It does not mean there is no one there

It is during those times, my friends that we are to look upwards and to know that our help and our hope comes not from Man, but from God.

"My HOPE comes from the LORD, who made HEAVEN and earth! Psalms 121:2

We serve a Loving God, Our Heavenly Father. He is a Good Father, who wants Good things for His children. Having said that, we question time and time again. "Yes,but if he loved me, why does this happen?" Or "I'm a good person, why should bad things happen to me?"

We live in a fallen world, where God has given us free will. He does not MAKE us do anything. We can, if we are honest, trace the pathways of our lives and the roads we have taken, and if we admit it, we chose many of those routes. Not all. There are circumstances that we find ourselves in where we have no earthly answer.

While The Lord pursue and continues to pursue our hearts. In times of need my friends, look to The Lord. The answers to all things, to this life and the world we live in our futures, our life and where we reside in eternity, are found in Jesus Christ.

"Set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed" 1 Peter 1:13

We also read: "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 NIV

We are to love one another, carry one another's burdens, encourage one another , committing to our Lord and saviour who we know establishes our plans. We read in Jeremiah 29:11

"I know the plans I have for you."declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to har myou, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE." Jeremiah 29:11
