CineAtlas 60 | Week 1 — One Take Intro | [Lafia Park]

For those that makes use of public transport, they usually start their journey from the park whereas those with cars begins they journey straight from home to their destination and sometimes they enter the park to pick up passengers or drop a loved one off at the park.

I visited the park because I needed to take a trip to Akwanga after I visited Lafia. The park is full of vehicles, motorcycles, travellers, sellers, Hawkers, wheelbarrow pushers, buildings, and different categories of people who are there to make money.

There are different sections in the park and the majority of the vehicles are small vehicles that transport people within the state whereas the big vehicles transport people within and outside the state.

The park is an old park and currently it is the biggest park in the town. There is a ticket Hall, which is the biggest building but currently there is nothing like booking or issuing of tickets as passengers make their payment directly to the driver.

I have been using this park to travel anytime that I want to make use of public transport it is this park that I visit. As for today, when I visited the park something funny happened to my friend who drove me to the park and me.

My friend drove me from school to the park in his private car, and upon reaching the park people ran towards his car as if they were being chased by a lion.

As he noticed how one of the guys who was running after us tried to put his hand inside his car he immediately wound up his glass and the guy's hand was trapped by the glass which he then screamed for help.

Evaluation — CineAtlas 60 (Week 1: One Take Intro)

Post: @josepha — “CineAtlas 60 | Week 1 — One Take Intro | Lafia Park”

Evaluation Summary (Week 1)

Criteria (Rubric /10)ScoreShort comments
1) Weekly rule respected (One Take + 20–60s + required links) / 32.7 / 3.0Video is treated as one-take (review feedback references continuous timestamps like ~0:59). YouTube link is provided. “Posted with Speem” is present; links seem compliant overall in your provided context. Small deduction because the excerpt doesn’t explicitly state “20–60s”.
2) Story clarity & creativity / 21.7 / 2.0Strong real-life story hook (busy park + the funny incident with your friend’s car). Clear “why this place” (transport hub you actually use).
3) Video execution (framing, stability, sound clarity) / 21.1 / 2.0Review notes camera shake and off-center framing (too much sky). You also acknowledge camera positioning issues.
4) SteemAtlas pin quality (relevant description + correct location) / 10.8 / 1.0Coordinates and plus code are present, but the pin label is very generic (“Park”). Could be clearer: “Lafia Park (Motor Park), Lafia, Nasarawa, Nigeria.”
5) Presentation (stills/screenshots, clean structure) / 10.7 / 1.0Limited photos and a short structure; could add more stills and headings for better readability.
6) Engagement (Shot Breakdown comments on others) / 10.0 / 1.0No proof links to two Shot Breakdown comments included in the excerpt.

Final Score: 7.0 / 10

General Comment

This is a solid Week 1 entry with a genuinely “public place” atmosphere and a memorable real incident that gives the one-take intro a clear narrative point. The main weakness is technical execution: stabilize the phone, keep the horizon/subject centered, and plan a simple path (wide establishing shot → vehicles/people activity → end on a recognizable sign/landmark). Also, improve the SteemAtlas pin description (full place name + city/state/country) and include two linked Shot Breakdown comments to unlock full engagement points.

Hello friend. In your video, I can see a lot of vehicles parked; it looks like a busy city road, somewhat like a market area.

Around the 0:59 of the video, I saw your face—you were looking elsewhere, perhaps towards the sky colour building in front of you.

If you could have kept the camera a bit more centered while filming, the view of the entire area would have been visible within the frame. Due to some camera shake, many parts of the frame only show the sky above. I wish you all the best for your entry, friend.

Yes you're right, there are a lot of vehicles and People coming in and going out of the park. It was later that I noticed about the video. Although in Nigeria when someone has noticed you're videoing him or her, you might be in problem. Thanks for your support.

Congratulations, your comment has been upvoted by the Steemcurator06 team. Keep up the valuable comments.

Your video is beautifully presented. The way you introduce yourself is natural and confident. The park environment and peaceful natural scenery of Lafia city make the video more interesting. Lafia city is the capital of Nasarawa State in Nigeria and is an important commercial and cultural center.
Thank you very much for sharing such a beautiful location with us. 😊

Thank and although I later discovered my camera weren't position well. Thanks for your support.

This one-take video of Lafia Park was really great! The beautiful atmosphere of the park and your smooth presentation made the video quite interesting. Best of luck to you for the first week of the competition.
