CineAtlas 60 | Week 3 — Silent Film | [Marriot hotel / Lagos; Ikeja]
Friends, I heard so much about buffet dinners in a five star restaurant and I was looking forward to having one on a good day. Little did I know that the good day was close.
I feverish got dressed to be a guest to this beautiful dinner in Marriott hotel Ikeja Lagos. Well, this is one of the leading hospitality industries in our country and a dinner or lunch here is quiet very expensive.
I made my way to this beautiful place a place for the elites of the society. I noticed there were no car parked in the compound as I walked in. It happened that the cars were directed to the underground car park which is like three stories underneath.
The security was so tight that I couldn’t get the front view of the hotel but an inside view would definitely suffice as my camera went round briefly as I got settled at our dinner table.
The dinner was a buffet and the hall was almost packed to the brim with people who came to find pleasure with themselves and their family.
There was just one rule to this people dinner. Eat everything you want to eat. There was no restriction as to what to eat or what not to eat. The only rule was that you shouldn’t take anything out of the dinner hall.
There was different types of food to eat as I went to get my food. There was chicken, fish, jollof rice, gizzard Peppersoup, and all manner of salads and fruits. Some of these food I have never seen before.
I had a hard time making up my mind on what to eat exactly because what I wanted to eat wasn’t on the menu. I had to settle for jollof rice, fish and some salads. Like a mixture of three different salads.
Then it was dessert time. There were varieties of desserts to choose from. Different types of fruits were available. Orange, watermelon, pineapple and there were cakes of different types. I had some fruits and cakes.
The cakes were simply out of this world as they melted softly in my mouth. There were also different types of snacks as the video did Justice to that. The only regret I had was that I wasn’t a heavy eater. How much could Impossible eat.
Our host told me, make sure you eat enough. Eat my money. Hahahaha. I could only laugh. It was satisfying to see that my colleagues ate up to five different types of food which full plates for each round. All I could do was wonder at them in amazement wondering how many stomachs they had.
In my short film was captured a moment of pleasure and eating. Were people come to unwind and spend time with friends and family eating what they desire.
The location of this film is Marriot hotel Ikeja, one of the leading four start hotels in Nigeria where luxury meets comfort. The video film video says it all as it makes known the reason for the occasion. I choose this location because it communicates class, luxury and serenity. It’s one of the go to places for hospitality.

Yes, buffets usually have a rule that you can eat unlimited food within a certain time. The food here is all you can eat but there is no option of parcel. The security here is very good and you have enjoyed a nice moment. I appreciate the food of the restaurant.
