What object did you choose

I chose a motorcycle where someone is sitting down on it watching football. Motorcycle is used for transportation and on my way returning home from my friend's house I came across this motorcycle along the roadside of Ola street.

Why did you select it

I selected this object because it was parked by the roadside, where the owner was sitting comfortably on it watching a football game. The reason is for my views to know how men loved football which a lot of men can sacrifice looking for their daily bread for the sake of watching a football game. It was the love of the football game that made the owner of the motorcycle park it by the roadside so he could watch the football game.

Why this location fits the object

This location fits the object because it is on a busy highway where anyone who is passing through the street can see it. The football field is at the heart of the community and it's well known by almost everyone in the town. Also, the objective fits the location because it was being parked off the main road and where it was parked there were no disturbances of traffic or whatsoever.

What story, feeling, or message did you want to express through it

The story I wanted to express through it was that anyone who loves football can't resist stopping at a football field to watch the game that's going on, no matter how busy the person might be. There is a spirit that follows football fans that makes them argue about football games and that makes them like football so much, just like the elderly man who sacrifices his time and parks his Okada motorcycle for the sake of the football match he was watching.

How did you try to make the object feel like a character

How I tried to make the object feel like a character was capturing the object without the notice of the person on the object. I stood behind the person and captured the object clearly in a way that the person's face wouldn't show. Also, I try to make the object feel like a character by including part of the person who sat down on the object so my story can be balanced, having both the object and someone real.

Evaluation — CineAtlas 60 (Week 4: Object as Character)

Post: @woka-happiness — "CineAtlas 60 | Week 4 - Object as Character | Ola Girls School Opposite"

Evaluation Summary (Week 4)

Criteria (Rubric /10)ScoreShort Comments
1) Weekly rule respected (Object as Character + 20–60 sec + required links) / 32.4 / 3.0Speem.watch and YouTube links are present. SteemAtlas pin is included. The motorcycle is a valid and tangible object. Deduction because the video appears very short and the object is not consistently kept as the exclusive visual focus.
2) Story clarity & creativity / 21.5 / 2.0The concept is genuinely creative a parked motorcycle becomes a symbol of football passion. The written explanation is clear and personal. However the story remains mostly told in text rather than expressed visually through the film.
3) Video execution (framing, stability, focus, visual impact) / 21.1 / 2.0Filming from behind to protect privacy was a reasonable choice, but the result limits the visual impact. The motorcycle shares the frame with too much surrounding activity. Close-ups of the bike itself would have strengthened the object-as-character feeling.
4) SteemAtlas pin quality (relevant description + correct location) / 10.6 / 1.0Pin is present but the coordinates appear incorrect the location points to Greece rather than Nigeria. This is a significant geographical error.
5) Presentation (photos, clean structure) / 10.6 / 1.0The written structure follows the required questions well. However no photos are included beyond the video, and the layout is quite bare.
6) Engagement (Shot Breakdown comments on others) / 10.7 / 1.0Two comment links provided. Small deduction as the breakdown depth is not confirmed within the post body.

Final Score: 6.9 / 10

General Comment

An honest and creative entry with a genuinely interesting concept the motorcycle as a silent witness to football passion is a strong idea. The main weaknesses are the incorrect SteemAtlas coordinates, the limited visual execution, and the absence of photos. The story lives more in the written explanation than in the film itself, which is the opposite of what cinematic storytelling requires.

The bike seems t be a nice prompt for the contest. I felt the twist came in the 6th second when the kid entered in the scene. I know you shot this movie from behind so showing the face of football lover was not so easy. All the best..

Yes you're right sir, I was trying my best not to show the face of anyone other than just the bike, but it wasn't easy thou. Thank you so much
