Love London Love Christmas

For me Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a trip to London! I love London so much and at Christmas time it is magical!! My favourite part of the city to dive in to Christmas is Mayfair and the surrounding area.

Despite the rought start of losing my credit cards and a phone and finding myself lost at Stansted without a penny of cash to my name..i was forced into survival mode. With thanks hugely to the Stansted app, uber and Paypal i was able to get myself to my hotel and start enjoying myself. No cards proved a problem checking in so i was grateful i could book online and now i have contactless downloaded on my phone.

With my mini drama over, I was ready to enjoy my trip. Hotel of choice was the beautiful May Fair and delightfully they upgraded me to a beautiful superior room. I've stayed in the May Fair a few times and love it for being trendy, sophisticated, chic and modern. My friend Christine joined me for dinner in the May Fair Kitchen where our extremely helpful waitress guided us through the menu of small plates and tapas.

We so loved our beautiful meal and retired to the bar for cocktails. Day one was quite an adventure!!

Next day my friend and I enjoyed the amazing breakfast in the May Fair Kitchen!! truly a fabulous display of morning treats. I parted from my friend to go shopping before checking into the luxury Cafe Royal Spa. There I was treated to a deep tissue massage and spent the rest of the early eve in the sauna snd relaxing by the pool!

Later I met a couple of friends for drinks and headed to the beautiful Brown's Hotel. Forgetting to eat we had a very naughty late night pizza and wine back at the hotel.

Day three was hard core shopping on Regent and Oxford Street as well as the must do visit to Fortnum and Mason. One of my favourite memories of the trip was at the Household Cavalry!! The photos prove it!!

And magical as always the sparkling lights of Westminster were jaw dropping!! Can't wait until next year!!! xxx!
