Greetings everyone, it's a pleasure to write here once again. The basic use of the computer system is becoming a different thing entirely, this is characterized by internet fraud, hacking, invasion of privacy etc. Therefore, I will be writing on the topic l titled The need for computer ethics
The computer is created for solving of problems, make work more easier and faster, accurate and secured. The basic uses of the computer system are compromised in many ways thereby the use of computer becomes unethical in most cases. This is characterized by internet fraud and bypassing security to get access into someone's personal information (privacy).

Ethics refers to a set of moral principles that guides or governs the behavior of an individual or a group of people. Hence, l define computer ethics as those set of moral principles that guides or governs the use of computer. The growth of internet brings a lot of new challenges on privacy and security, hence the need for computer ethics
COMPUTER ETHICS*
There are so many rules guiding the use of computer but l am going to mention just a few here.

Do not use the computer to harm other people: This rule simply means it is unethical to use the computer to harm other people. This has to do with corrupting or harming other users files or data with viruses.
Do not peep into other people's computer files It is very Wrong to read other people's personal messages and emails.
Do not interfere with other people's computer work: The intent of of creating viruses to disrupt other people's computer should be avoided, it is unethical.
Do not use the computer to steal: The computer should not be used to steal people's sensitive informations.
SOME AREAS OF COMPUTER MISUSE
Invasion of privacy This is done by using the computer to invade the privacy of a person or an organization which is called 'hacking'. People do this by stealing the ID and password of the victim.
Software privacy This is the unlawful distribution or reproduction of software application for personal or business purposes. This is unlawful and it is punishable according to law.
Plagiarism Using other people's intellectual work to yourself is wrong. Copying them for distribution as yours without the prior copywrite permission.
Hacking This is the act of breaking into a computer system in order to get access to information that you are not authorized to access. This is one of the widely known computer crime today.

CONCLUSION
The need for computer ethics is necessary as the use of computer is becoming more unethical. This will help prevent the misuse of personal information and data, make the computer safe and a better place to save information. Without computer ethics the research work of some intellectual persons can be easily copied(plagiarized). Hence, the need for computer ethics!
