A Mysterious Looking Penny found in Garage Sale! Treasure or a Common Error Coin?

Found an odd looking penny as you can see in the picture.

Bought a little box full of interesting old things at a garage sale and there were a few coins and this happened to be one of em. Rest of items were junk, haha.

1951 Penny that seems to be off striked, any coin collector out there?

I wonder how this left the US Mint looking like this, I’m sure if 1 was off strike the other coins would also be off striked since I’m sure they don’t do it 1 by 1.
