But at the end of the day, when I think about my own people, one relationship comes to mind again and again. That is ‘brother’.

The shadow of a brother

An unbreakable bond built on the strength of blood,
A brother means dependence, a piece of sandalwood.
Whose compassion is like a mother's, discipline like a father's,
Keeps the throne of affection in the heart.
In the world, you will find friends, you will find many loved ones,
What else is a selfless love like a brother?
The steadfast Himalayas, which are a shield in danger,
I find ultimate refuge in him.
The one whose hand reaches out first to wipe away tears,
The one who gives all the happiness without sharing it.
The house of hundreds of quarrels, thousands of angers, murders,
Without a brother, this world is a desert.
No matter how much love and affection come,
No one will be held like a brother.

To be honest, we come close to many people in life. Life partners, friends, or well-wishers—everyone has a different type of love. But a brother's love is a little different. If there is an elder brother, he has the image of a father within him. Just as he rules, he stands as an invisible wall to protect the younger brother or sister from all the dangers of the world. On the other hand, if there is a younger brother, he is like an eternal friend, with whom everything can be told frankly.

We often neglect this priceless jewel of the home, immersed in the glittering relationships outside. But if you pay attention, you will see that when everything around you becomes dark, when everyone turns away, your brother holds your hand tightly without any questions. There is no artificiality in this love, no desire for power.

In fact, there is a strange peace in the affection of a brother. He may not say how much he loves you, but his every action, every worry, is dedicated to your well-being. So if you have a brother, then you are one of the luckiest people in the world. Respect this sacred bond, keep it close. Because everything in the world is on one side, and the genuine affection of a brother is on the other. At the end of the day, there is no alternative to this selfless affection.
