How long will you wait for others?
How are you all? I hope you are having a good day. I have been thinking about life myself lately, so I thought I would share some thoughts with you. Actually, we all have more or less ups and downs in our lives, don't we? Sometimes it feels like someone would come and hold our hand or magically change our lives!
We always look for charisma outside, thinking that some saviour will come and solve all our problems. But honestly, at the end of the day, we are alone. And this loneliness is our greatest strength. Do you remember that saying of the famous motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari? He said, “If you are looking for that person who will change your life, then take a look in the mirror.”
I myself stopped when I first heard that. The person we are searching for all over the world is actually hidden within us. I wrote this short poem today out of the urge to awaken that inner person of mine.
The person on the other side of the mirror
Is it the one you are dying to find in your heart?
How much longer will you walk on someone else's shoulders?
Whether it is with yourself or not, today you should speak your mind.
No one will come to remove the darkness with a magic spell,
You will have to break the prison you have built yourself.
Infinite stubbornness is hidden within you and says,
The person you see in the mirror is your real asset.
Just believe in those stars in your eyes for once,
You will see that thousands of obstacles will give way in front of you. The key to changing your life is smiling in that mirror, That person loves you with deep compassion all the time.
After reading the poem, close your eyes and think for a while. When we are broken by small failures, what do we see when we stand in front of the mirror? A pair of sad eyes? Or someone who has a dream of touching the sky? In fact, we have become more dependent on others. We think that someone will change our destiny or the situation. But the Creator has given us the power to change the situation within us.
I have seen from my own life experience that everything started changing from the day I stopped expecting from others and started relying on myself. The person standing on the other side of the mirror does not criticise you; he just wants you to recognise him for once.
So my request is, stand still in front of the mirror for at least a few minutes today. Look into your own eyes and smile. You will see, a strange peace is at work. Your life is actually your deposit, and you are the only one responsible for arranging it. Believe in yourself, and you will see that one day the whole world will applaud your success. Be very good to everyone, and do not forget to take care of yourself!
