(Sometimes it feels like the world is moving away from peace, choosing pressure and power instead of dialogue and understanding.)

These days, one piece of news has really made me stop and think. The verbal confrontation between the United States 🇺🇸 and Colombia 🇨🇴 does not feel like an ordinary diplomatic disagreement. It feels bigger than that — almost like a message to the entire region.
The harsh statements coming from the U.S. side toward Colombian President Gustavo Petro went far beyond normal diplomatic language. Talking about military action, applying pressure in the name of drugs, and presenting force as a solution — we have seen this pattern before in Latin America 🇺🇸⚔️🌎.
But this time, the response was not silence.
The President of Colombia 🇨🇴 responded clearly and firmly, saying that Colombia is not a weak state and will not compromise on its sovereignty. These were not just words. They carried a message: Latin America is no longer what it used to be.
People here remember history. They remember wounds. And now, they also ask questions.
Personally, I respected Colombia’s response. Instead of fear, it spoke the language of dignity and self-respect. Yes, drug trafficking is a real issue. Yes, disagreements exist. But threats and force have never been a real solution.

What is interesting is that Colombia also made it clear that it does not want to close the door to cooperation. This shows that the issue is not about confrontation, but about equality and mutual respect.
This entire situation teaches us one important lesson:
The world no longer moves through one-sided decisions.
Dialogue moves things forward — threats only create resistance.
