I am really glad you made this post @thistle-rock!! It is nice to know you better and also understand where and how you live. The background you gave is wonderful. I am impressed to know how far out there you live and how committed you are to living sustainably! In many ways that is very idealistic to me. I wonder were you born into a life of homesteading and were you born into living very remotely or did you grow into that lifestyle? I am very much looking forward to more editions of this series you started :)
Thanks @sagescrub.... I grew up in a big city but always loved when our family outings took us to farms, or to go camping... so I guess I would say you are born with "instinct" even though I was not raised in it! My sisters cringe at my lifestyle as they prefer the city life, lol, although I am probably much more introverted than they are so this lifestyle suits me well!
