The Old Dog Presents: "Reaping What You Did Not Sow" Round Five Contest!
Here in my neck of the woods spring has sprung and I'm loving it. Just moments ago I was blessed with the site of some really nice flowery creatures poking up through cracks and holes on my property.
I snapped some pics and got enthused about having another round of my "Reaping What You Did Not Sow" contest!
As I Expressed in The Original Contest:
The famous expression is "You will reap what you sow". In other words you suffer or benefit as a result of your own actions. For example:
- If you study diligently you'll pass the exam and if you don't you'll fail.
- If you obey the speed limit you won't get a ticket and if you don't you will
Sometimes though, nature takes over and the opposite happens.
Here Are The Two Examples That I Saw Today!
This little beauty was poking up through a crack in the stairs leading up to my front door!
I have been gifted with this bouquet growing in a crack on my patio! I didn't plant it but Wow Wow Wow!
Now It's Your Turn. Let's See your Examples!
Contest Rules:
- Please show me an example of a flower growing where it was not sown.
- Add the photo to the comment section below. Feel free to make a separate post if you like as well.
- One entry per person
- There will will 5 prizes of 1 Steem each for the best entries.
- The contest closes when this post pays out.
I'm looking forward to seeing your entries!
Thanks for following me on my travels and I look forward to sharing my adventures with you.
This Contest is RedFish And Minnow Friendly!
Until next time,
@kus-knee (The Old Dog)

Here is a whole "volunteer" garden in the middle of this parking lot (Loutraki, Greece)
This is a tremendous find!
Sounds like another fun one! I did a post to help promote it...

This is my entry. Thanks for taking the time to host these contests.
I love this. Thanks!
Nice! I have been missing this contest :) Here is my entry:
It is mushroom of the genus Ramaria, a group of mushrooms known as the "coral fungi". I took this close-up in a Czech forest last summer. The mushroom was growing on a dead tree.
@phortun,
I saw this at shutterstock!
Cheers~
Yes and if you take a closer look, you will find out that this photo belongs to a Shutterstock contributor named "phortun" :) It is my photo ;)
@phortun,
Sorry I didn't see that! Then that's a pretty amazing photography! A perfect one!
Cheers~
Very nice!
I just saw your Shameless Post Promotion post, and I do not know why I have not heard of this contest before. I'm so glad I saw this today.
I am a natural weight loss coach and take photos like this on purpose to motivate people.
This is one of my favorites found on a fence in a bad neighborhood in San Diego California.
And here it is on the poster I send when people tell me they cannot do things now, where they are, with what they have.
I have more, so I hope I will see this contest again. Since your "rules" qualify, you might want to enter it to @contestkings. You need to go to their discord and get whitelisted and then when you post your contest, add it in the room they have. Then you will be on their daily post which many people use to find contests.
They sometimes give good upvotes too, although I see you are already a star in that area :)
Thank you so much for the contest!
Great entry. I remember you as the contest Queen. Yes you had mentioned that discors channel to me before and I should head over there and check it out!
Haha! OK - I will look for you on their post now :)
I don't know if we ever planted primroses in our garden, but they spring up everywhere. I don't mind too much as they look nice. Yes, that is a coconut shell there. It appeared from nowhere a while back. Maybe it was an overladen African swallow.
Wow! I'm thrilled to have an entry from you! Well done!
I've been out working in the garden today. Lovely weather here.
It looks that way. I ran in 23 degree weather this afternoon!
Only about 6C when I ran this morning, but up to 12C now and feels warmer in the sun. Still okay for a t-shirt out there.
Lovely contest and beautiful selection of posts!
Here's a welcome but unplanned inhabitant in my garden:
and a post about them.
Nice to have it!
I saw this today and took a picture and then had to scroll back through my feed because I couldn't remember whose contest this was! I'm glad I found it.
Great entry. Thanks!
For a long time I was looking for blooming Sally (Ivan tea in Ukrainian), growing in the wild, but all without success. Who would have thought that I could find it on the roof of an abandoned house right in the center of our town!
I doubt that someone put it there on purpose.
This is a great example!
Hi @kus-knee i have created a post because i included #wednesdaywalk with your challenge i hope you don't mind here is the link. Thank you @kus-knee and have left it to you to be the judge...Cheers :)
Wednesday Walk - The Banyan Tree's Tomb Snatchers !!
This is an amazing example.
There are so many more amazing examples in this cemetery but i had to limit myself on the post i could have kept going and going...lol :)
I can imagine!
Cheers :)
