Welcome to the Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest. No Upvote, No Resteem, No Follow Required!

 
This post will be both a Winner Announcement post and an invitation to participate in the next round of the Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest which starts NOW!!

EPISODE RECAP

Yet another unexpected blindside and another Goliath leaves the game! Despite their number advantage, the Goliath's keep disappearing - good to see some Goliaths willing to play so early on in the game and good on the Davids for shaking things up a bit.

Episode five of Survivor: David Vs. Goliath was good for the Vuku (orange) Tribe. They won both the Reward (giving them chickens!) and the Immunity Challenges. In an extremely close finish, Jabeni ended up losing the Immunity Challenge sending them to Tribal Council.

In another Goliath betrayal, Mike voted with the two Davids, sending Natalie Cole home, much, I'm sure, to the relief of the other players, and definitely to some fans watching the show.

Out of two trips to Tribal, it has in no way been "Goliath Strong." As a matter of fact, out of the 14 contestants still in the game, we are now even: 7 Davids and Goliaths remain. It's really wide open at this point in the season, anyone can still win it all.

So long Natalie!!! Can't say you'll be missed!

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

We have two winners this week!! Both @doctorcrypto and @suitcasemama correctly guessed (hoped/prayed) that Natalie would go!

As per the rules, @doctorcrypto and @suitcasemama will split the SBD produced by last week's post which will be about .30 SBD each. Additionally, because @doctorcrypto was the first to correctly guess Natalie, he also is the proud owner of one SBI share, thanks to contest sponsor @freedomshift.

Because I was assigned Natlalie Cole, I'M out of the running for @o07's Ounce of Silver Bonus Prize. Sadface! I join @toddcurry, @pbock, @the-witty-waiter, @mimismartypants, and @travoved on the no-silver-for-you bench.

Since no one picked Natalie Cole to win it all, no one joins @suitcasemama and @the-witty-waiter on being out of the running for the 20 Steem Grand Prize. Again, I'm impressed that we've all had such great guesses so far!

This post also announces the next round for next week's Survivor episode. If you're new, the object of the weekly contest is very simple: you win if you guess who will be voted off the island next!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1. Guess who will be voted out next on the coming episode of Survivor: David vs. Goliath from the list of the 14 remaining contestants and leave your guess in the comments section of this post below by 8am EST on Wednesday October 31st.
2. There is no #2, that's it! If you guess correctly, you win!
3. Strategizing and trash talking other Steemian's choices highly encouraged!

PRIZES

The winner will receive (in order of importance):

• Bragging rights immortalized forever on the blockchains
• PLUS - the total amount of SBD generated from all contest posts until someone wins.
• AND - at least one Steem Basic Income (SBI) share provided by contest sponsor @freedomshift through his #ccc initiative (see below for more info on #ccc).
• Additional prizes may be added if we pick up sponsorships along the way.

I'm continually looking for ways to increase the prize pool for this contest. If anyone has any ideas as the week goes on, please let me know - I would love to give bigger prizes to the winners!

DEADLINE

Set in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji, the next episode of Survivor David vs. Goliath will air 8pm on Wednesday, October 31st. The deadline for this week's contest is:

8am EST on Wednesday October 31st.

 
At that point I will lock your choices. A winner announcement post will follow.

WHAT IFs

• If more than one Survivor contestant is voted off on this episode, that means you have more than one chance to win!
• If it's a medical evacuation like we saw in the first and fourth episodes, I will treat it as if the person has been voted off.
• If more than one Steemian guesses correctly, the Steem Prize will be evenly split, but the @freedomshift #ccc SBI share(s) will go to the first one to correctly guess which contestant is voted off in the coming episode.
• In the case NO ONE correctly guesses this week, the Steem earned in this post will be saved up and added to the pool for the next Weekly Steemit Survivor Contest.
