Welcome to my blog, am glad to be able to join this class learning global knowledge on breakfast and experimenting something new.

Share your before-and-after dish (original + global twist) you can add the processes and give the name and origin of your local breakfast.

Since breakfast is a meal we use in starting our day it's usually something light simple and in a minimal portion in my country Nigeria fried yam, fried potatoes, fried ripe plantains and pancake with tea is always a good choice.

Fried potatoes has been a local dish consumed by Nigerian since the 19th century frying them are likely seen as a simple and inexpensive method of preparation using locally available cooking so since breakfast requires a very meal fried potatoes comes into the picture and it blended well.

This is still a fried potatoes with an entirely different origin preparation method and test, French fries is cut in long tiny rectangular shape fried to be a little bit crispy.

I cut my potatoes in a tiny rectangular shape the fried it in a melted butter and olive oil after 10 minutes of frying on low heat it was ready. The picture onn the right is my plate of breakfast with little portion of French fries, a Milo tea and a ketchup.

What global element or idea did you add to give it a twist?

I use a homemade ketchup which is a global element widely consume both as a condiment and a cooking ingredient, fries can be consumed without or with any sauce of one choice but I specifically use a ketchup as my sauce because it is consume globally giving my breakfast a global twist.

How did the new version taste or look compared to the original?

It tested crispy and delicious it was easy to chew on the sauce complemented it so well too it was a wonder meal and experience but compare to the original one am used to I think they both have their uniqueness.

What inspired your creativity in this dish?

When it comes to breakfast potato is the best choice I have and is also one of my best food so I have tried cooking in different ways I use them to make porridge and pepper soup but we are talking about breakfast here so I thought to myself what else can I do with potatoes as breakfast then French fries came to my mind it was a great idea which the results turned out great, I was happy to discover a new breakfast recipe to add to my family breakfast menu also my little daughter was able to chew this smaller shape of potato she like it alot I think i have found her a new way of making potato fries, thank you @ninapenda for this wonderful class it has given me the privilege to be creative to think and to create something different from the usuals this was a big discovery.

Your breakfast looks so lovely! I love how you transformed regular fried potatoes into crispy French fries with a global twist. Though I used to love our local way too, especially with the local sauce made with scent leaves and ice-fish. The ketchup and Milo tea make the meal complete, I can imagine the crunchy potatos, ha Great creativity! keep exploring new recipes, and success!!

I love French fries, having to transform the potatoes into French fries is a good one. Makes it more appealing than the regular way of eating it. Ingundnit difficult to actually cut because it’s somehow hard but your precision with it is awesome and they look very neat you cut.

Yes it was difficult to section but was actually very nice and tasty.
