SLC-S31/W6-“Creative Interpretation| The Concept -Becoming”

The point of being alive is not to arrive somewhere and remain there, but to constantly re-invent the self, throwing away and creating in the direction of complexity. The topic- Becoming- is also about what the process looks like, what the world looks like and what kind of sense I am making, as much as this image does.

Transformation: Unveiling Two Distinct Realms

Transformation, to me, is the fusion of disparate elements into a singular whole. I have always perceived myself to exist between two radically different spheres-one of rigorous, intellectual, scientific endeavors and one of imaginative, limitless creative pursuit, manifested primarily through writing and internet endeavors.

This portrait is an example of a convergence, where two sides of my persona collide; the precision and integrity reflected by my glasses and sharp, clear gaze betray a thoughtful, disciplined interior, but I do not see the necessity of muting my effervescent, loud, colorful shirt, for I consider this symbolic of an unbound creative drive that must remain unrestrained. To become means realizing you do not have to be one thing at a time, and then acting on this knowledge, blending the different aspects of yourself.

What challenges appear during this process?

Becoming is hardly a simple, fluid transformation. Each transformation inherently involves a friction which one must actively address when moving from different modes and spheres. Every aspect of one's life, from academic pursuits to creative projects to social interactions, constantly places disparate demands and needs that require astute time management and sheer willpower.

Moreover, the expectation is to conform to one or the other aspect of the self, to be solely traditional or exclusively avant-garde, and it is in the conscious rejection of imposed dichotomies and the ownership of the totality of one's being, regardless of doubts or external pressures to minimize who one truly is, (as I am, here) that transformation becomes possible.

How does your piece connect to your personal growth or vision?

This picture itself serves as an excellent representation of my growth and aspirations. It captures a moment of time in my transformation and the deliberate way I am crafting my life. The dark, dense wood door behind me symbolizes the threshold I continuously traverse, the door I enter into and the grounding the threshold provides, while simultaneously reflecting the unknown I must journey forth into.

Learning how to keep expanding my horizons, yet not leaving my humble self behind. Becoming entails that each trial that I endure, each information that I absorb and my added courage adds to the splendor of the story of my life. This is the picture that is the testimony of that process. A grounded, energetic, prepared life.

Hi @entity01, welcome to the week's challenge!

Unfortunately, you have not written any piece to judge your entry with. I guess you misunderstood the questions.

You need to follow instructions next time!

Hi, thanks for reviewing my post

I think there might be a misunderstanding my entry is a creative reflection that directly answers the prompts

Section 1: Defines my view of transformation through the details in my photo.

Section 2: Explicitly discusses the challenges and friction of this process.

Section 3: Connects the image the dark door to my personal growth and vision.

I do appreciate it if you could take another look thanks.

You may want to check my questions and explain how your response fits in.

You were given prompts to follow and you never created any 200 piece words so where do I judge your entry from?
