Hello friends, I trust you're well, welcome to my blog. I want to share with you some of the "dirty" things we engage in as farmers. If you must really be involved in farming, you must be ready to some dirty stuffs especially when you're the kind who would want to save yourself some unnecessary expenses.

I could remember the very first time I was to journey this path as a young aspiring farmer that I am, my then boss looked at me, he wasn't convinced enough with this decision of mine to following him on this path of farming.

I went to him myself, and in one of those day we met, he wanted to be sure I was ready and then he asked, Bro.Chris, are you ready to soil your hands? As in to work you fingers like every serious farmer will. I wasn't very surprised he asked, you know I looked quite fragile and too "posh" (lol). So he needed to asked to be sure I was ready for what is ahead.

My mind was made up, I proved myself beyond reasonable doubt by passing some of the test he gave me, unknowing to me at the time.Today I'm glad I'm not proving myself to anyone anymore but to myself as I journey this path. So many people still find it hard to believe I'm in into farming and even manage a sizable farm.

By God's grace, I do not look like what I do, you know that haggard looking countenance that overwhelm people in this field who might not have leveraged on existing technology and human resources to conserve strength and energy.

Oh I think I've digressed completely from what I intend sharing, but trust me, what I've shared so far is an important ingredient for this post. So yeah! I was at a local milling station sometime ago to mill one of the ingredient for our livestock, cassava peel to be precise.

Places like that is not always a fancy place, they always look untidy most times, you're even advised for free not to put on your nice outfit to places like that. The residues from what is milled which finds it way into the atmosphere will surely settle on you which ends up making you look funny. Lol.

This is what we signed up for, we didn't sign up for the glamorous aspect of farming or that part which may folk out there show which make it looks like there are no stress or challenges associated with farmings...nah! You will be tested and tried but at the end, the whole stress will be worth it.

Since you're not gonna be on the farm 24/7, there will always be time to enjoy and have a good time, your diligence will pay off and afford you a nice show off (winkz), a positive one though which will be a source of motivation to many young people who would develop a strong desire to venture into farming. Let me wrap it up here guys, thanks for staying with me, see ya all later.
