My First Steps Into Crypto – What I've Learned So Far (And What Still Confuses Me)
I didn't join crypto because I understood everything.
I joined because I was curious.
Like many people in Ghana and around the world, I heard stories of people making gains, but also stories of people losing money. At first, it felt overwhelming – wallets, keys, blockchains, gas fees, staking… the list goes on.
But here's what I've learned so far as a beginner:
1️⃣ Start small – You don't need a lot of money to learn.
2️⃣ Guard your keys – No one should ever ask for them.
3️⃣ Avoid hype – If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
4️⃣ Learn a little every day – Even 10 minutes helps.
What still confuses me?
- How to read a candlestick chart properly
- Which layer-2 solutions are actually worth using
- How to spot real projects vs. quick scams
But that's okay. I'm not in a rush.
Right now, I'm using [exchange name if you use one – optional] and learning about Bitcoin, Steem, and a few others. I'm also excited to earn crypto directly from my content here on Steemit – that's something special.
I'd love to learn from you:
👉 What was your biggest mistake when you started crypto?
👉 Which resource or YouTuber actually helped you understand things?
Let me know in the comments. Let's learn together.
Warmly,
Justice | Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭
