One Year Living in Crypto-Currency Only Abstract

Brave or foolish. Jumping the gun or just an early adopter. Maybe I am crazy. I plan to live ONLY on Crypto Currencies for an entire year starting in February 2018.

I have always lived a relative nomadic existence travelling a lot being a Chef and also the compulsion to see new things and encounter new adventures. I have always lived my life as a set of chapters somewhere hoping that the book will be worth it. It is getting more complicated to live without a full time registered address or the usual forms of paperwork associated with normal living. Since losing my passport it has been incredible difficult to maintain what most describe as a normal life. That normal life I have never wanted to be part of as I believe we are living in the “decadent” stage of our civilisation. The last days they call it. Without wanting to impart my social or political beliefs too far I shall stop that there. I do however believe we are moving towards a dystopian future rather than a utopian one.

I am a firm believer in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology and very much think it is the future and how we will trade or move currency, records, data, contracts in the future. Again without meaning to get too in depth with what is an abstract and a preface I do see a world where we have a digital wallet, probably on a chip inside of us. That will be currency. Each coin will be like an Amazon, or Ebay now, or similar, but much bigger.

I would like to be ahead of the trend on establishing my identity and trust status on the blockchain as they take hold. Medical. Financial. Social. Personal. Et all.

I think by adopting the practise of only spending with Crypto Currencies for an entire year I shall integrate myself into new and existing sectors. Where people trade with each other. Where we can pay each other without the need of a middle man, intermediary or benefactor. As that is the corrupt world we live in now. Where others profit from our work in an unfair and criminal system.

The next year will be troublesome. It will involve convincing likeminded people to help, share and contribute to the project. There is a lot of information to absorb and a lot of avenues to explore. From the simple of how to I get my kitty vaccinated with crypto-currency to how to I convince my employer to buy into the dream too.

I plan to use no traditional financial institutions and that includes pre-paid card in my name. I will endeavour to trade when I need to on decentralised platforms and actively move with the times in exploring and researching where the future will be sitting. I guess what they refer to as off the radar. Except not really as I am just integrating myself into the world as I know it will be in the future.

So that is the plan. The structure. The details. The framework of how I plan to make this happen and keep it going will follow.
