Hootsuite's report found the Philippines to be the nation with the highest number of cryptocurrency owners, with three of the top ten countries coming from the Asian continent.
The study, which cited GlobalWebIndex, saw the Philippines top with crypto owning 17 percent of internet users. Thailand was fourth behind South Africa and second behind Brazil.
Indonesia, which ranked sixth in the world, received headlines as 11% of internet users had cryptocurrencies. For the country's immense 270 million population, that means a large number of people keeping the nation's crypto-currency.
However, it remains to be seen if the figures put out by the report are entirely correct. Another Statista study on the worldwide ownership of blockchain wallets placed the global figure at 44 million users.
In Indonesia, only 64 percent of the country has internet access which makes the 11 percent cryptocurrency figure even more important and less probable. As every observer looked to see the report's good, some, such as Twitter user @DouglasTan30 have called for calm.

While the statistics may have overstated the figures, it is not right to say that Indonesia's nations and the Philippines, the top-ranked country. To suit the rising trend, both governments have large crypto communities and regulations.
For a time, digital payments were isolated from the environment, too. 7 Bitcoin is licensed in eleven stores throughout the Philippines. Whatsapp has been looking to make digital payments on their Indonesian version.
