COSS Journey #0 : Fees earned so far and coin structure of the distribution

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone, this is the first real post on the Coss Journey after the introduction post. The idea today is to first give you some insights on the fees distributed depending on how many coins you hold. Remember that these are not projections, only historic data from the past few weeks.
In the second part we'll look at the structure of the coin distribution.

Fees earned for snapshot 4582000 and 4624500

Every tuesday you'll get a message similar to this in your dashboard :
Coss
(I've edited the amount held for privacy but it was around 55k coss at the time)

Here's an estimation of the amount of money earned at the time of the distribution for every COSS coin that you held :

Snapshot dayEthereum blockAmount earned per COSS coin
19 Nov. 201745820000.000018773 $
26 Nov. 201746245000.000018767 $

Remember that the fees are paid in every coin that was traded on the platform and the amount can fluctuate.

There wasn't much change between these 2 weeks as volume on the platform stayed stable. From what I remember it was less than 300k USD/day on most days. I haven't found the historical data on coinmarketcap for exchange volume, please leave a comment if you know how to access it.

So depending on how many coins you held at the snapshot :

COSS held19 Nov. 201726 Nov. 2017
10000.0190.019
50000.0940.094
100000.1880.188

500000.9390.938

2000003.7553.753
5000009.3879.384
100000018.77318.767

The volume has increased significantly last week so we should see an increase tomorrow, stay tuned !

Coin structure of the distribution

I'm using Blockfolio to track what coins have been distributed. The total amount is not important at the moment as I do not remember exactly how many coins I held during the 5 snapshots I have been part of (it's been between 10k and 65k, and 0 once even...).

Coin fees are paid by users on everytrade so the most traded coins will generate the most fees. The total amount of fees is split between Coss and the coin holders
The dividends are distributed in the currency that was traded when the fee was generated, so the most traded coins will be the most distributed. We find Ethereum, Coss and Bitcoin in the Top3, no surprise there !

Here's a more detailled look at the top 10 coins distributed :

Right now most of the trading done on COSS involves ETH/COSS and BTC/COSS but as the platform grows we can expect more volume on other currencies. COSS is adding new coins and has many trading competitions coming up, this should increase volume as well !
