GDAX temporarily raising BTC withdrawal limits in advance of August 1 hard fork.
Dear GDAX Customer,
You have requested a higher exchange withdrawal limit. In light of the pending bitcoin (BTC) hard fork, GDAX is granting you a temporary increase in your BTC withdrawal limit. This temporary withdrawal limit increase will allow you to withdraw your bitcoin (BTC) balance prior to the hard fork on August 1, 2017.
This temporary limit increase will not be apparent from the withdrawal window on your GDAX account. However, you will be able to withdraw your bitcoin (BTC) to an external address, until the bitcoin hard fork on August 1, 2017. At the time of the bitcoin hard fork, your bitcoin (BTC) withdrawal limits will revert to their prior level until the GDAX team can conduct a more thorough review of your pending limit request.
As outlined in our recent blog post, GDAX will not be supporting bitcoin cash (BCC). If you wish to access both bitcoin (BTC) and bitcoin cash (BCC), you need to withdraw bitcoin (BTC) stored on GDAX before 11:59PM PT on July 31, 2017. If you do not wish to access bitcoin cash (BCC) then no action is required.
