Think of it as a faster and more up-to-date version of ETH. It basically has everything that Ether wants to integrate slowly already integrated right now and is building up on it. I think there is a lot to leverage. In the end only time will tell if it will be enough but it is mighty cheap at the moment for an early buy-in.
