I followed the instructions in the distribution guide. But I registered the public key with metamask and sent EOS to myetherwallet. I think, because I registered the key with metamask, that was the only wallet that could receive the tokens.
I am wondering if there is a way to link myetherwallet to the public key that will allow me to receive the coins. Im not super familiar with Ethereum contracts.

I figured it out. I had the tokens in myetherwallet. I just didn't use the proper address for the custom token. Thanks for the input!
