The last image gives great insight. I wouldn't narrow it down to marketing if a business is succesful or not - there are companies out there which became successful with no traditional marketing budget (f.e. Zara, GoPro), but marketing budget of a million Dollar a month definitely helps I guess. but only if used adequately.
