All 50 apartments listed in Bitcoin, sold out in Dubai

Lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone and her partner Doug Barrowman sold 50 of their 1,300 apartments in Dubai for Bitcoin. The prices of these luxurious Bitcoin apartments ranged from about 15 BTC to 45 BTC.

Bitcoin seems to be turning viable as the market and the big players accept it as a mode of payment. From Canadian KFC to real estate in Dubai, Bitcoin fever appears to be high globally. Here’s the entire story

First ever Bitcoin apartments
In accordance with their previous announcement regarding putting an offer for real estate trade in Bitcoin, the UK billionaire entrepreneurs sold out 50 luxurious apartments. These apartments are located in Dubai’s Science Park and their development is scheduled to be completed by 2020.

"We allocated 50 out of 1,300 developments. We’ve sold all out. Some bought ones and twos,
and one individual bought ten.”- Barrowman
This is just the first batch of apartments that have been sold. Buyers seem to be excited by the idea of trade in Bitcoin as Barrowman tells that they are still receiving a lot many inquiries.

“We’re still getting lots of inquiries,” Barrowman explained. “We’ve not released another
batch. Particularly when bitcoin was riding high in the charts. I think a lot of people were
cashing out over the Christmas period.”- Barrowman.
The pair also offers to get the additional services like interior designing done for these apartments for Bitcoins. But these cryptocurrency payments are immediately converted into USD through BitStamp so as to minimize the effect of cryptocurrency’s volatile nature.

What next?
Cryptocurrency’s craze for the entrepreneur pair doesn’t limit them to crypto trade only. The two have launched their own blockchain technology-based investment platform, named Equi. Apart from being billionaire entrepreneur, Barrowman is undoubtedly a cryptocurrency enthusiast who believes in harmonizing the world of virtual currencies with that of the real world.
