EOS Fan Theatre - Little Joe's EOS Blockchain Journey
MAY 15th, 2018:
Little Joe: "EOS looks great, but like most ICO's, I am going to hold off on buying some until a few days after the ICO. This way, when the price falls I can get in at a more grounded, less-pumped price."
Top BP's: "Well if you do that you'll miss out on the Genesis block and the opportunity to gain dozens and dozens of airdrops."
Little Joe runs off and buys 100 EOS for $13 a piece so he can qualify for some of the more promising airdrops which require at least 100 to quality.
His choice, completely.
JULY 2018:
Top BP's: "Don't HODL EOS. Use the network! Buy RAM, create accounts for family members and your team. Be a part of the community!"
Little Joe buys his friends and family some accounts, acquires some RAM so he can utilize a handful of account names and a few airgrabs. Because of usage, he now holds a bit less than he originally started with.
AUGUST 2018:
Top BP's: "Stop using the genesis snapshot, everyone! We want to include more people in these airdrops."
(You know, the disbelievers who didn't buy EOS before the genesis snapshot who decided to wait to see what would happen to the brave guinea pigs who were willing to take a chance on a blockchain which hadn't yet launched.)
Little Joe: "What? I thought we were going to use the genesis block. I used to have 100 EOS. I qualified for more airdrops then. The airdrops were supposed to be my incentive and reward for early involvement and the risks we took."
Top BP's: "Nobody forced you to buy early or spend any of your EOS."
Little Joe: "You're right. I guess I didn't have to buy my account "joeloveseos1" or acquire RAM. But I was told if I didn't use my EOS and instead just sat on it as a long-term investment, my EOS would be confiscated."
Dan: "Well cheer up. Things change. Here's a free account."
Little Joe: "Wait... now latecomers are getting free accounts?"
Top BP's: "Relax! In a year from now a $13 per EOS buy-in will look like a bargain. Wait, where did he go?"
A crazed Little Joe runs out into traffic. He gets ran over by a 2006 Buick Lucerne. His head slaps against the pavement. At last he has a placid expression across his face. Is it because he's now brain dead or because he just spent $7 on a sweet 3D printed EOS keychain. The world will never know.
