I decided to buy a TREZOR to store my cryptocurrencies instead of leaving them in the exchanges which is a horrible idea. You can search all over YouTube and again and again, you will hear that you are technically not in ownership of your cryptocurrencies UNTIL you take them off the exchanges. Additionally, if the exchanges were to ever crash or get shut down, chances are you will lose your crypto's as well. Hence, it's a good idea to get an offline wallet, be it a paper wallet or a TREZOR or Ledger device.

I chose a TREZOR.

I paid $109 + $10 shipping at the time, a net of $119. The only option was to pay in BTC and it came out to 0.0621 BTC which is worth about $139.84 as of 2:09PM PST 5/30/2017.

It took 2 weeks and came mailed from Czech Republic, same place that makes my gun.

Here is the unboxing, I will also document the set-up which will come at a later time. Please excuse my dirty fingernails, its been a long weekend.

The TREZOR came in this nice mailing package. It was flimsy but the package inside wasn't damaged.

Cut open the envelope and here it is!

Here is the TREZOR sealed in shrink wrap. As you can see, it also has factory tape on it so you know it hasn't been tampered with.

Remove shrink wrap. Close up of factory sealing tape:

It turns out the box is glued shut at the flaps too. Had a helluva time opening it. No way someone could tamper with it without tearing the box.IMG_2296.JPG

Case and point.

Unpeeling the protective film. You can see the screen has a nice anti-reflective coating on it. High quality stuff.

It comes with a small indent to put the strap on

You will need a pencil or something to pull the strap through

Connect it to your computer and voila! It turns on.

Glad that you got a hardware wallet, it makes perfect sense to secure your currency. Check out my video on some of the things I didn't like about the wallet. Do you have a wide range of cryptocurrencies?

Will do, friend. I have BTC, ETH and LTC. You?

Thanks. Following you now.

Nice matte gray finish. Honestly, I can't stand the white finish, it looks like something out of a 1980's hospital-- no offense to Trezor's color choice or 1980's hospitals.

Great review; looking forward to that setup post.
