Are americans buy bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in Credit

I saw reports of buisness insider and bloomerg both reported that JB Morgan , citi and Bank america were going to stop allowing to use creditcard to purchase cryptocurrencies with creditcard
I went to CNBC to also find a link the credit story and this result was populated by ads to buy bitcoin with credit cards
I am not sure this is more dangerous from a financial stand point that buying BTC on margin

From a practial standpoint, using a creditcard with average intrest rates abve 15% according to creditcards
Something that has been as volatile as bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is not good assets
