Steemit the next facebook, tumblr, reddit or X? What will happen when the many new crypto investors find out about the platform? Opinions/Comments!!!
This is my first post on steemit and I'm big into crypto, but steemit is a whole nother level. I find the idea and the platform very innovative and think it will attract many new users in the future. Especially in 2018 with more and more people getting into crypto for the quick/big profits and forgetting the product behind it, I think steemit will make a huge jump when these people actually realize that there are great products out there already. But how great is the potential as a platform? What do you thingk about the future of the steemit platform? Will it be the next facebook, reddit, tumblr or something completely different! We can all research, but I want to know what you think. Opinions, comments, ideas please :)

I believe that cryptocurrencies which serve a purpose are the future in economics. Once this cat gets out of the bag, there will be no getting in back in. Bitcoin caught on because it was a good idea, but it was an incomplete and insecure idea. The use of blockchain technology for things like social networks will result in self-sustaining online communities which will disrupt everything, including governments all around the world.
Very true I find. 3-4 month ago I had a conversation about crypto with one of my bosses, who used to be CFO at several companies. He was totally against crypto as a currency/market and had no idae about the products behind the coins. He also thought it will fail, but my argument just didn't convince him, since right now for the vast majority crypto is just a bubble market. Once they find what is actually happening in this market they will be suprised and as you already stated it "will disrupt everything".
