RE: 4 Tips I Follow for "Investing" in SteemMonster Cards

in #crytpodapps6 years ago

The biggest draw for me is being able to use it as an asset to generate more revue. It’s not a lot but when you tie up one asset with another that a nice bonus. Everything from passive to playing daily. A lot cards might not be worth much today. If the game has the staying power of 5 to 7 years many of those cards will be worth several times over what they are today.

My biggest concern with the Alphas are who is going pay it if they become worth ten times as much one day. Just because something can sell for high amounts does not mean there much volume behind it.

I can see people paying crazy amounts for Magic The Gathering cards because holy smokes the artwork on them alone is amazing. There are collectors out in that market that will pay the premium because of that alone. I don’t have the same feelings towards my SM cards. They are decent to look at but not something I would want spend to have in digital form.

I’ve already earned my start up investment back a couple times

  • Content creation
  • Selling cards
  • Affiliate program

If this game gets really big holding cards will be amazing but the amount you could earn beyond their value by using them is even more.

Something I’ve not test out yet is the new lease system they have added in. That would be yet another way for anyone investing in higher tiers to have a safe way to generate income if they themselves don’t enjoy playing the game itself or go on a long break.

The older cards on mtg are investible because of rarity and nostalgia. If SteemMonsters continues to develop a game and and community that can create those same feelings 10 years from now all the current players maybe very happy.

You will have the option to "delegate" your cards to the lease and rent market. This tool will list your cards automatically to users who want to rent your cards to play. This will generate passive income for your investment.

Whats this tool that you speak of?

Its the same "Tool" that you use to delegate Steempower from one account to another.
You can go to "collection" on your SM account and than click a card of choice.
You will see different options what you can do with your SM card e.g. Gift, Sell or lease.
If you click "lease" than you can decide who you want to lease it to. Right now everything is manual but peakmonsters is working on a automated lease/rent market where you will determine your lease and rent data.
