Beware of CS:GO scammers and how to identify them

in #csgo7 years ago

If any of you play cs:go, you most likely have a valued inventory.

Don't wanna get scammed? Here's some tips to prevent you from being scammed.

If a person adds you and wants to trade and claim they have an approved middleman that will assist with the trade, that is a scam, do not trust them.

If a person adds you and wants you to deposit your skins into a website, don't trust them.

If a person wants you to play competitive with them via ESEA and gives you a teamspeak IP that wants you to download an "update" do not trust them, they are a scammer and that fake update will install a RAT (remote access trojan.) Usually the file size of the program is a dead giveaway, totaling to maybe 600kb or something like that.

If they claim to be a moderator, or an employee of opskins or something, they are a scammer.

If they send you a "steamcommunity ID link" closely pay attention to the link, they may try to send you to a website that looks like steamcommunity, but the characters are different. For ex; it will look like "steamcornununity.com"

Beware of the scammers folks! They are rampant.fb_image.png
