Language and Costums

Language has to do with sounds, symbols, and gesture that community puts in orders and associates so that they can communicate. On a deeper level language is an expression of who are as individual, communities, nations. And Costumes is tradition and norms value.

  1. Limbu language:

Limbu language is used by Limbu people. They live in the hills. Their greeting word is Asewaro. Which means Namaste in Nepali. They are in Limbu community. People of Limbu community wearing phariya, patuka, cholo, and khasto etc. They wear ornament are Chayptesoon, Laskari, and Mundri on their ears. The ornament they are wearing on their nose is called a Bulaki. n They also wearing a Kantha on their neck. It is made up of pote and gold. some women also wear talahari and Nau Gaedi. The ornament on their head is called a Sirphuli. The men of their community wear Daura- Suruwal and Nepali Topi Nogenro. They have their own language Limbu language.

  1. Sherpa Language:

Sherpa Language is used by Sherpa people and community. Their Greeting Word is Tashi Delek. Which means Namaste in Nepali. They wear a Bhikkhu which is knee length dress. the Long sleeve shirt is called a Tulung and the pant like a garment which is called Nagoya. The boots they used is known as Dochha. That is worn both by men and women. The women of this community wear a long dress is known as Anggi and a shirt called Bajaur. They love to wear ornament made of gold, silver and precious stone. They are mostly live in the mountainous region of Nepal. They have also their own language Sherpa language to communicate.

  1. Tharu Language :

Tharu Language is used by Tharu people and community. They are found in the Terai region. They are wearing is the traditional costume of their community. like Gunew, Lehenga, and Choya(blouse). They are also wearing different types of colorful ornaments. like murder on their Nathantthaon in my nostrils, Churiya/Bala on their Wrist and colorful necklaces and also a payal on the ankle. The men wear Bhagwan, IT is a white loincloth which they wrap around themselves and Jhulva It is a kind of shirt worn on the upper part of the body. They speak languages like Maithili, Bhojpuri, and Awadhi.

  1. Newari Language:

Newari Language belongs to the Newar community. They use greeting word JwoJwolopa is Namaste. They used wearing Daura-Surwal, Bhadgaule Topi, Patuka and Wist Coat. women wearing Cholo, Patuka, and Hakupatasi. They also wear ornaments in their ears and neck. they speak their own language Newari language. They have a very rich culture and tradition. Subway means thank you.

Thus, We can see that Neal is a country where people from different ethnicity live together. Each community has their own culture and tradition. Everybody respects each other's culture and lives harmoniously.
