💭 My Thoughts

Today's cur8 Games Log — Altitude

A new season of Altitude has started on cur8 Games, so of course I had to jump back in.

First of all, can we talk about how adorable this character is? 😂

With Ranked Mode ready to go, I started another climb toward the top of the leaderboard.

During this season, I finally realized something important.

Many players already knew this, but I was a little slow to figure it out.

The upgrades you buy during a Ranked run only apply to that specific run.

Once you die, everything resets back to zero.

That means collecting coins and constantly upgrading during the game is absolutely essential.

For my first run, I focused on upgrading Spiky Head and managed to reach Level 2.

The difference was noticeable right away.

As a result, I scored 11,226 points, already beating my best opening run from last season.

Not bad, but I wasn't satisfied.

So I jumped right back in.

During the second run, things started going even better.

I picked up an extra heart, collected plenty of coins, and invested heavily in score-related upgrades.

I also grabbed Double Jump, which made movement much easier.

The result?

20,799 points.

Now things were getting interesting.

For the third run, I had even more coins to spend.

This time I upgraded not only Spiky Head but also Shockwave and Thick Skin.

Both upgrades helped reduce damage and deal with enemies more efficiently.

Since I still had coins left, I invested in score bonuses and Combo Keeper, allowing my combo streaks to last longer.

Everything came together perfectly.

By the end of the run, I had reached an altitude of 28,609m and finished with an incredible 39,857 points.

At that moment I started wondering:

"Surely that's enough for first place... right?"

So I checked the leaderboard.

And yes.

1st Place.

I was sitting at the top with 39,857 points.

Behind me was @blackdesert with 19,450 points, while @misia1979 held third place with 15,124 points.

Seeing my score nearly double second place felt amazing.

Of course, it's still early in the season, and anything can happen.

But for now, I'm enjoying the view from the top.

To make things even better, I also completed quests and claimed my daily Altitude rewards.

A successful climb, completed quests, and first place on the leaderboard.

I couldn't ask for a much better day in Altitude.
