💭 My Thoughts

Hopped on Curi Games Platform today and gave Altitude a proper go. Ever since they dropped the new Ranked mode, the player count has been going crazy — so I figured it was finally time to stop sleeping on it and jump in.

First impression? Way harder than I thought. The core idea sounds simple enough: dodge enemies and climb as high as you can. But once you're actually in it, the difficulty ramps up fast. The enemies start spreading out and overlapping in patterns that are genuinely tricky to read, and one wrong move sends you straight back to the bottom.

Items do spawn throughout the run, which sounds helpful — but actually snagging them mid-flight? Nearly impossible. By the time you spot one, you're already dodging something else, and going for the item usually just gets you hit. Most of the time it's safer to ignore them and focus on survival.

Ran it a bunch of times trying to get a feel for the movement and enemy patterns. Gradually started picking up on the rhythm — when to weave, when to hold a lane, when to just book it upward. After several attempts, I finally pulled off a clean run and locked in a personal best of 10,640 points.

Ended up landing at Rank #6 on the leaderboard — not bad at all for day one. Definitely coming back to push that score higher.
