After hitting their first number 1 with "You Give Love a Bad Name" as the lead single of their hit album "Slippery When Wet", Bon Jovi released the second single "Livin' On a Prayer" which became a bigger hot worldwide. It became their second number 1 on US Billboard Hot 100 as well as US Mainstream Rock charts, and was certified 10x platinum, which is rare for a 1980s album. It peaked at number 4 in UK Singles chart, and went 5x platinum.
