Oasis' debut album was a big hit especially in their homeland United Kingdom, where it went 9x platinum. Its third single "Live Forever" became the band's first top 10 hit in UK Singles chart, however their fourth single from the album "Cigarettes & Alcohol" peaked higher at number 7, and was certified platinum. The song also charted on Eurochart Hot 100, particularly at number 30.
