After her highly successful debut album "Pieces of You", Jewel returned for her second album "Spirit", and the lead single has been "Hands" though it did not receive a physical release. The song became a hit on radio peaking at number 4 on US Pop Airplay charts, while reaching number 6 on US Billboard Hot 100. It was a minor hit on UK Singles chart peaking at number 41.
