RE: What's your favorite Anti-War/Peace-Movement Song? [Win SBD]
This song was meant as a song to advocate the survival of the anarchist free-city Christiania in Copenhagen. It's a great anti-war song even though it wasn't meant for war... here with Spanish subtitles (all I could find).
Fucking crazy shitheads doing that in Stockholm...
I've heard about Christiania, a very interesting project. Is it still alive?
Unfortunately I neither speak danish nor spanish... Would like to understand the lyrics.
I second that :-(
Yes, it is and have been a part of Copenhagen for more than 40 years, no one is going to close it down . Copenhagen would be a war-zone. Even peaceful me would take to the streets.
The chorus goes: you can't kill us, you can't kill us, because we are a part of yourself. It has this fine logic that if you kill of half the population you will be half a human. Just look at the Turkish people who can't come over the terrible killing of the Armenians, they can't even mention it so many years after. They burned and scared themselves. Goes for all killings, no matter where...
Wow, that are really deep thoughts. Truely worth thinking about. I often see people denying there darker thoughts and fears. That also often leads to living a half-life... and killing your full potential. Maybe it's comparable.
Yes, the song-writer hit on something with this chorus - somehow intuitivly comparable to a lot of life's aspects.
