No talk of #DarkNet(Marketplaces)? Steemit is censorship-free, though!

in #darknet8 years ago (edited)

One thing that has been irking me...

Is that on a supposedly, and insofar, uncensored venue/platform for us all to to share our ideas,
experiences, and especially hidden sites/sources, I haven't seen a single post talking about, or
even mentioning the deep-web/darknet, and/or more specifically darknet marketplaces.

Now I'm not talking about turning this into a place to start talking about direct sources of illicit
substances or illegal activities, but for the sake of having somewhere other than reddit, where
there are increasingly restrictive rules being implemented to prevent the already-heavily limited
content topics allowed by their ToS.

While I could go on for hours about what needs to be allowed to be discussed here on Steemit
if the self-proclaimed title of "censorship-free" is going to be boasted as the biggest selling
point over reddit, facebook, twitter, and all the other __competing__ social networks out there,
besides the opportunity to reap monetary compensation for contributions of original content, I'll
leave that to the commenters to discuss because I'm not here for the purpose of pushing my own
agenda onto to the community, or even to make any money. I almost immediately converted ~$20
USD that I had in BTC on Poloniex into both Steem & Steem Power, to offer up my own stake in
what I see as a revolutionary platform with nowhere to go but up.

So...

At least for the purpose(s) of harm reduction and the identification of and warning of
current scammers or suspected LE, I'm offering up my two cents on yet another way Steemit
can be used: For the purpose of making it a venue for shared trust and experience, without
exclusion on the premise of maintaining anonymity.

Just a thought of mine, and I also wanted to know the Moderators' stance on this sort of discussion.

Steem up the good work, everybody~!

i did a post on darknet riffle from mit trying to replace tor in the future maybe ??

I really hope censorship stays off of Steemit. I know I've had a few posts deleted, but I hope that's just because they were shit, and not for censorship :p

Due the fact that all posts are tx in on the blockchain itself the can't be deleted. When u remove a post here on steemit.com, then it's just removed on the front end (client part). If u would using CLI (Command Line Interface) to install steem from source, then u would still be able to see this comment, at least, that is how i understand it :).
