Decenternet's Open Source & Cyberpunk Ethos In Money & Education
Decenternet is a high speed decentralized internet infrastructure platform that aims to be neutral. Such technology has the potential to revolutionize many industries. However there are two industries that a human being would have to deal with. These two industries are money and education. Due to the objectives and mission of Decenternet, education and money are poised for a revolution.
Money and education are two industries that many of us spend our time trying to pursue. At times, both these industries are similar to a vicious cycle. Most would pursue education to cultivate skills for a good job.Conventionally, a good job is a job that pays well. However, once someone has secured money, they would then reinvest said money in the lives of their children's education. Their children will go on to pursue an education for money and as such, the cycle continues.
For the foreseeable future, this appears to be the cycle that most of us are stuck in. However, I feel that both money and education have a host of problems. For one, the centralization of education hinders it from being up to date with current trends and knowledge. In addition, money is manipulated by the very few either through inflation, currency manipulation or even the manipulation of centralized bodies.
If Decenternet is implemented and its platforms carried out well, the issues with money and education will likely be lessened. With time, the aforementioned problems in money and education may even stop plaguing us.
Education & Money In An Open Source World
One of the greatest barriers to education is money. In order for any groups of people seeking to break out of the cycle of poverty, it takes good education and without money, that can be difficult to obtain in most countries. However, Decenternet could be the solution to this. Two aspects stands out while reading through the use of Decenternet in education. First, education will be accessible, free or at the very least cost very little. Second, it is likely that people will be rewarded for sharing information, making it worthwhile for many to invest either time or money in education.
The mission of Decenternet in many ways resemble the Open source ethos. The open source ethos stipulates that knowledge should be shared freely. This can be in the form of innovation or knowledge. This would inadvertently help many who are not able to afford school or any form of education, a gateway to a better life. A likely scenario would be children learning from Decenternet on marketable skills. Since information is freely shared, imagine learning how to code or build programs just by surfing on Decenternet.
However, the biggest problem with the open source ethos would be the lack of financial incentive. For most, getting paid for one's creativity is what keeps them going. Take that away, and you leave the creator no reason to create. I believe this can be mitigated via Decenternet's Spyce economy where some of the mined Spyce could be reinvested to help content creators. This can be in the form of financial incentive to further motivate them. Since Spyce can be used to buy goods and services, paying these education content creators in Spyce to create educational content for the masses is definitely a great form of motivation.
That being said, the end result is a world where knowledge and education is not monopolized by the few but distributed openly to everyone. Eventually, with knowledge and education, this could help many in seeking a better life.
Education, Money & The Cyberpunk Ethos
Decenternet reminds me of an underground resistance fighting against the evil corporation. In many ways it reminds me of Animes that are of the Cyberpunk ethos such as Ghost in the shell or Psycho Pass. In watching both these anime, I think a recurring theme that comes up is freedom and control. In the current state of the internet, our opinions and actions can be easily influenced. As seen earlier, education is important but the current generation do not learn through textbooks but the internet.
Now imagine the world population controlled by a few groups of people simply because they have control over a popular search engine. This group of people would have the ability to influence decisions and to some extent, one's wealth. Similar to how the killing of certain individuals is determined and manipulated by the few in Psycho Pass, there will come a day where we may be manipulated to do something nefarious by those in control of education, money and parts of the internet.
As such, Decenternet is a great solution and with their Liberty search engine and Osiris browser which are free and neutral. I don't know about you, but I dislike having things 'suggested' to me nor being constantly bombarded by one sided information on certain search engines. I find that it has shaped our next generation and affected the way the way they think especially since they get most of their information from the internet. Hopefully, with Decenternet, they will be free to from their own opinion.
Conclusion
It is indeed an exciting time to be alive, we so many modern conveniences readily available to us, it is difficult not to wonder if this is it. However, once we take the time to understand both the open source and cyberpunk ethos, it is likely that you would start questioning if the manner we are educated, which could affect our earning ability in the future, you start to see that platforms that promote decentralization are the answer. To that end, you will find that Decenternet can be that solution to a decentralized internet. A decentralized internet that would benefit us all in education and money.

When we think that we know everything, something new surprises us, it is amazing to see all the advances that have occurred since our childhood. My son says he was born in the best age of technology and he is 10 years old. There is still a lot to see.
