Cube house: modern and family

Today visit a modern family home created by Yakusha Design Studio.
Anxious to respect its' environment and natural landscape of this house located in the pine forest in the Kiev region, architects have used an optical illusion. The area of the plot is 700 square meters while the floor space of the house is 200 square meters. The designers used natural materials to create a quiet and comfortable environment inside the house. Most of the details are made with eco-materials such as wood, wool and linen.

This ultra-modern, sleek design has been designed for a young active family with two children. But then they choose the design of their home that they discovered that another baby will come soon. It was therefore very important to create a flexible, comfortable and pleasant space.

Several factors have influenced how to design this home as the need for a garage for two cars inside the house and the desire to save the beauty of the natural landscape. This is why the architect decided to build this family house using the cube concept.
On the ground floor there is a garage, a spacious living room, a dining room with a large table for all the members of the family and a cozy kitchen. Kitchen, dining room and living room are therefore combined in an open space.

To maintain the unity with nature one of the double height living room walls is made by the glass which allows to fill the house with daylight and allows to enjoy the pines outside the window.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom and two children's bedrooms.

The parents' bedroom has soft natural colors or the graphite gray of the walls harmonizes with oak-wood flooring. The dressing room and the bathroom are hidden behind a door that is invisible at first sight.

The creator of the teenage room considered the fact that regardless of size, a teenager's room should be versatile enough to lay out current homework, sleeping and receiving friends, while reflecting their personality.

So she created an elegant and multifunctional room with two beds, a desk and a sofa. Comfortable and luminous, this piece combines the natural color of the oak with a palette of white and natural green.

The second bedroom is intended for the boy but can also be used for two children as two beds are hidden under the wooden podium. The work desk is placed on the podium near the window. This organization allows more space for pleasure and study.

The white walls are decorated with blue and red wall art designs, the podium and floor are in oak.
