More chance of ample cheap electricity for people and a strong economy. Thank you. State Minister Nasrul Hamid said that the type of the power plant would be Ultra-supercritical. The state minister was also hopeful that this power plant would be able to supply electricity to the national grid by 2023. Ultra-supercritical technology is the future of energy sector because it is more efficient and environment- friendly.

PM Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the construction work of the 1200 megawatt coal-fired power plant at matarbarhi.
