Photos and thoughts: Fog and football match

Photographs taken during an evening when fog appeared during a football match.

Description
A few weeks ago I was doing a training run, when fog started to appear. In a few minutes the fog had become quite thick and at that exact moment I passed right in front of a football pitch where they were training.
It must not have been easy for football players to guess the trajectories and especially to identify the balls coming from far away. On an evening like this, I would say that for a goalkeeper of a football team, training is even harder.

Thoughts
On an evening like this, playing football means cold, humidity and not even seeing the development of the action well. At first I thought that training in these conditions could be useless, but then I thought that it is actually an excellent condition to develop a certain sense of play that would not be developed in other ways.

I can imagine how challenging it must be for football players to train in thick fog, requiring them to rely more on their other senses to judge trajectories and ball movements. Your photos are a great reminder of the unique challenges that come with training in adverse weather conditions 🏟️☁️
