Out Disc'ing, But This Time I Had Some Company! ~ #daddyduties

I haven't been able to get out disc'n much this summer and it's kinda bummin' me out. I love being outdoors and being active.

The wife went to help my mom out with some work today so I was left at home to tend to the 2 littles. She suggested I take them to the library. Boooooooring. I know they love the library, but that's not really my style. So I figured I'd get to enjoy a round of disc, and they would wear themselves out and want to take a nap :) I am so smart, S-M-R-T. (If you catch the statement I'll send you an internet high five.)

I usually start these posts off with a picture of the beer I enjoy on said round, but today with the wee ones, I grabbed whatever flavored water was in the fridge that my wife had. It just so happened to be...

Belle Vie Sparkling Water ~ Grapefruit flavored!, yum! It actually wasn't bad, and I am not really a fan of grapefruit. I can't eat it straight up, but flavored in beverages, I can stomach it. It came in handy when I was parched about half way through.

I started this round on hole 9 actually, it's a little closer to park there for me from the direction I am coming from, and with the kids in tow with a stroller and all the gear (goodness gracious there's so MUCH gear!!) it was easier to park there.

I thought I had my shot of the day on hole one/9.

My tee off was just about where I wanted it to be. Not as far as I had hoped, but I was content with it.

I plopped my disc right behind the hole, and for a second, I thought it was going in. So close! But a great start to the round regardless.

I was even happier with this throw, which is a very hard throw to do. This hole is very narrow, and to keep your disc that straight for that long, is no easy task.

Well looky what I did!

BOOM! I had birdied the hole prior as well, so I was officially under par. I bogeyed my third hole/hole 4, but I was throwing really well.

My game, not to be outdone, was overshadowed by some ducks. I thought my daughter was going to fall into the pond the way she took off for it and for how damn close she got. That would have sucked. But thankfully she stopped and we got a few pictures.
