Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi is the world's highest paid athlete earning £100m in the past 12 months, according to the Forbes top 100 ranking.

Is the worthy of being the highest paid footballer, or would you say Ronaldo should take the prize?

As a Man U supporter I am leaning toward the Juventus forward, but both of them are getting on a little in age.

I have yet to see any of the younger stars get close to these two.
