We're Powering Down And Will Donate The Money To The Red Cross Lanzarote As The Community Decided
As previously announced in @surfermarly's account, we're powering down.
That doesn't mean that there won't be any charity events rolled out under the umbrella of Dreams of the Ocean in the future, but we want to clearly separate our future off-chain activities from this network.
Since most of the Steem Power, liquid Steem and SBD in our wallet comes from donations, we now want to kindly let the Steem community decide what shall happen to those tokens.
We're talking about ~1,000 Steem and ~250 SBD, currently worth ~635 USD.
EDIT: The poll was closed on the 29th of May. Decide You decided what's gonna happen to those tokens by selecting as you selected your favorite action HERE on dpoll.

Hi Marley - sorry to see you and Dreams of the Ocean go. You have done some great work with that.
Although it is not an option on your poll I wondered if you would be interested in donating the funds to @papilloncharity in South Africa.
I have worked with them since the beginning of @adollaraday.
They have recently been asked to help provide much needed computers for the children at a poor rural school...
I am sure all donations would be very gratefully received.

I'm happiest we came to know on Steem and it was always a great pleasure and lots of fun to be part of your show. I'm definitely leaving with a big smile on my face.
Now regarding the funds in this account, the community wants me to lock them up, so I can't donate any money to another account, but I can delegate it. @papilloncharity seems to be a nice initiative, so I'll be delegating all my SP to them, hoping that it will make at least a small difference for them.

I can't delegate anything, because the system is designed like that.
Check this article from Tim Cliff and you'll see why.
Calculate (1,000,000 / steem_per_mvests) * amount_of_STEEM_you_want_to_delegate
(1,000,000 / 0.0005017) * 1,500 = 2,989,834,562,487.542
So sad, but that's life my friend.

Under the circumstances this would seem the most practical use of the funds. Dreams of the Ocean had a highly successful project with Red Cross Lanzarote last year and a donation to them is simply an extension of the already proven partnership success.....
