Mistook the wrong people

There was a young man who visited a local café and his intention was to catch up with his friend after their classes, but the place was full of people, making it hard for him to find his friend as quickly as he wished before he entered. The man saw an empty table where people had sat and assumed that they were his friends since one of the girls in that group was wearing the same jacket as his friend. So, he went over to the table and introduced himself and apologized for being late. He said to them that there was heavy traffic on the road that's how come he arrived this late.

The people were just quiet for around five seconds without anyone saying anything, how could they if a total stranger walked up to them to apologize.

After that, one of the guys looked at the man and said, Uh, buddy, I think you got the wrong people, bro.

The man felt embarrassed and ashamed, and he really wished he could disappear right that horrible thing, but once the person spoke, the whole table started laughing, and even he started laughing because he found it very awkward for him to be there. He kept apologizing to them and he tried picking up his bag and getting up to leave from the table as fast as possible.

The most funny part of the story was that his real friend was seated behind him all along and watching the scene. She was laughing so hard that she almost could not control herself. She even took video when she realized her friend was about to mess up. So the man was busy introducing himself to the wrong people, nd his friend was actually sitting behind him enjoying the funny situation.

Since that day, this matter became something that his friend would remind him of all the time whenever they visit somewhere together. "Make sure you see me before you see me" that's what she teased him with every time they entered a place.
