Why do we change over time?
At some point in our lives, we begin to notice something strange: we are not the same as we once were.
The ideas we once believed in have changed, the things that once mattered to us have become less important, and even our reactions are no longer the same.
But why does this change happen?
The truth is that change isn't a sudden event; it's an ongoing process.
It begins with the small details of our daily lives. Every experience,
whether successful or painful, leaves a subtle mark within us.
Over time, these marks accumulate, reshaping the way we think and our outlook on life.
One of the most important reasons for change is experience.
People don't learn as much from advice as they learn from the situations they experience firsthand. We may be warned about something hundreds of times, but we don't truly understand it until we live it.
Time also plays a significant role in this transformation.
Time doesn't change us directly, but it gives us the space to understand things more deeply. What seemed complicated to us in the past may
become simple today, and what we once considered important may lose all interest in.
Another important factor is the people we meet in our lives.
Some leave a positive impact that helps us grow and develop, while others teach us harsh but necessary lessons.
In both cases, we change.
Change doesn't mean we've lost ourselves;
it means we're rediscovering ourselves.
However, some fear this transformation because they believe that stagnation is security.
But the reality is quite the opposite.
Life, by its very nature, is changeable, and trying to remain the same can hinder our progress.
The real challenge isn't change itself,
but knowing which direction to choose.
Are we changing for the better?
Are we becoming more aware?
Are we learning from our mistakes?
Ultimately, change isn't a choice… it's a reality.
But how we deal with it is what makes all the difference.
We can either let it guide us randomly,
or use it as an opportunity to become the version of ourselves we aspire to be.
