Why do we sometimes feel like life has stopped?
There are periods in our lives when nothing visibly bad happens,
yet we feel an inexplicable weight.
We wake up every day,
We do our chores,
We talk to people,
We go on with our lives as usual.
But inside...
We feel like we're stuck in the same place.
We're not clearly regressing,
nor are we progressing in the way we dreamed of.
And that's where the real struggle begins.
We start comparing ourselves to others.
We see someone achieving something,
Another getting an opportunity,
And a third reaching a goal similar to ours.
So we look at our lives and ask:
"What am I doing?"
"Why don't I feel like I'm progressing?"
"Am I even on the right path?"
And as time goes on,
this question becomes a burden.
But what I've learned recently...
is that sometimes we're not standing still,
We're in a building phase whose results aren't yet visible.
Like a seed under the soil.
To the casual observer, it seems inactive.
But in reality, it works silently,
slowly taking root,
preparing for its moment of emergence.
And so are we.
Not every step forward is visible.
Sometimes our greatest achievements are the things no one sees:
Persevering through setbacks.
Rising after disappointment.
Trying again after a previous failure.
Resisting the urge to give up when it's the easiest option.
Therefore...
If you feel your life is at a standstill right now,
don't let that feeling become reality.
Instead of asking, "Why haven't I made it?"
Ask,
"What small step can I take today?"
Because life doesn't always change with giant leaps.
Sometimes it changes with a simple decision:
A page you read.
A skill you learn.
A bad habit you break.
Or a new attempt you give one last chance.
Don't wait for the enthusiasm to return first before you begin.
Just start... and the enthusiasm will follow.
And don't wait for the perfect circumstances.
Many dreams have come true under circumstances far from perfect.
Always remember:
Not everyone who walks slowly is late.
And not everyone who arrives quickly is happy.
Everyone has their own journey,
and all you have to do is keep going on yours.
You may not see the change today,
and you may not see it tomorrow.
But if you keep going... a day will come when you look back,
and realize that the period you thought you were stuck in... was actually the period when you were growing more than ever before.
